Salary Negotiation

Moneybox Ltd are an established financial services company based in the South of England, specialising in selling personal insurance, pensions and private healthcare. (By the way, when was the last time you tried to negotiate with a company like that as a consumer? Most of us never try it.)

They were heavily affected by the recession in 2008 but business is now showing signs of recovery. Despite this, the company’s directors have recently been in discussions regarding potential job cuts to reduce the headcount and increase their chances of expanding the business over the next 2 years.

You are about to conduct a typical workplace negotiation at Moneybox Ltd and you can choose between the following two perspectives...

Either as an employee looking to negotiate a salary increase at their annual review with their line manager, or as someone applying for a new job at the company, negotiating their contract terms...

  • New Job Candidate
